Youmacon was a blast! [+photos]

As I mentioned before, Youmacon this year was my first ever convention, and I had a blast! It was so cool to see people in cosplay, and honestly, reassuring that I was not the only physical being who loved JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (and not just internet URLs).
I was only there for Friday and I wish I could've made it Saturday, but alas. But I will DEFINITELY try to make it to more cons in the future.
I went with my roommate (who was dressed as Sonic the Hedgehog) and I went as a Team Rocket Grunt. I will say that it was a complete shock that I had people stop me and ask to take my photograph. I had no idea what to do! I lost count after 20 or so people asked for my picture during my time there. Here's a few pics of my cosplay!
The vendor alley was AWESOME. The artists there were so talented and I was sad I didn't have much to spend. Instead, I blew all of my money on a figure of Caesar Zeppeli from JJBA, because I am a weak individual with no self control. I brought with me $100 to spend, $30 for tickets and I ended up paying $70 for the figure. I somewhat regret the rash decision based purely on excitement (this version of Caesar is sold for about $50 on Amazon, I honestly should have done research and thought more carefully). There was also a vendor selling the newly released Cardcaptor Sakura figma, which I've been DESPERATELY trying to find online but for some reason JJBA took precedence. Although, I don't regret it as a whole, because I love Caesar and JJBA and, I could always use more JJBA merch.
I've already taken him out of the box and he now sits beautifully on my desk. Overall, I had a great time, and it was an experience that I'd love to do again! (Also, I met LittleKuriboh & Team Four Star and that was A+ awesome)
I wish I had some of the photos people took of me because some had super fancy cameras with them. I also wish I took more photos of other cosplays, but unfortunately I wore gloves and handling an iPhone was extraordinarily difficult. Next time I will be more prepared B) There were a LOT of Undertale cosplayers and a surprising amount of JJBA cosplayers (which I was ecstatic about!). I've been going through the Youmacon tag on Tumblr and it's great to see photos of people I actually got to see in person and even talk to for a bit.
I had a wonderful time!

Yesterday during the rush of Black Friday/Thursday, I picked up a $150 copy of the new limited edition Zelda 3DS! Only $150, you ask? It was a Target exclusive offer, and I managed to grab 1 of 2 remaining copies despite not even standing in line (I showed up when doors opened :'D)

I'm not even sure what we can do as "friends"...they took out SwapNote, so I'm not even aware of what is left to do. Regardless, it's always nice to have friends ;D

Hey hey hey!
In celebration for going back to college, I will be holding a twitch.tv stream in which I will play a RANDOMIZED version of pokemon emerald!
The stream will be on Friday! It will last for several hours and begin at 4:00 pm EST. Follow me on my twitch account:
Whoever shows up to the stream gets to watch as I work my way through a GBA pokemon game (emulator) with completely randomized pokemon! Prepare for craziness and laughs and all the like.
